A Message From Our Founder

Hameed Kasumu

I have always believed that where a person is born should never determine how far they're able to go. I started the Hameed Kasumu Foundation because I saw, time and again, families going without meals they needed, students full of promise who couldn't afford to finish school, and communities without access to even basic healthcare.

This Foundation is my answer to that. It's built on the idea that meeting people's most essential needs — food, education, healthcare — isn't charity in the traditional sense. It's an investment in human dignity and human potential. Every meal we serve, every scholarship we award, every health outreach we hold is a statement: you matter, and your future matters.

This work is deeply personal to me, and it's a commitment I intend to carry forward for as long as I'm able — and to build something that continues long after."

Why We Exist

Across Nigeria, too many families face hunger every day. Too many bright students are held back not by lack of ability, but by lack of means. Too many communities go without access to even basic healthcare.

The Hameed Kasumu Foundation was born from a simple but urgent conviction: these are not separate problems — they are different faces of the same struggle for dignity. And they are problems we can help solve, one family, one student, one community at a time.

We started by asking a simple question: what does a person need to not just survive, but to have a real shot at a better life? The answer became our three pillars — food, education, and healthcare — and our foundation's entire reason for being.

What Drives Us

Our Mission

To uplift less privileged communities in Nigeria by meeting essential needs — food, education, and healthcare — with compassion and dignity.

Our Vision

A Nigeria where every person, regardless of background or means, has access to the basics they need to live well and reach their full potential.
